INTERIM AGENCY

Are you looking for work in Flanders?

Then a temporary employment agency is a good way to start working quickly. A temporary employment agency has contacts with employers in various sectors.

They will work with you to find a suitable job with an employer. The advantage of temporary work is that you get the chance to show on the job how well you can do your work and how motivated you are.

Note

Temporary employment agencies usually work with day or week contracts. It may be that the employer takes you on directly in their company for the long term, but this is by no means certain.

There are many temporary employment agencies in Genk.

Some well-known employment agencies are: Randstad, Accent, Adecco, Tempo-Team, Trixxo, AGO Jobs & HR, Actief Interim, Asap, Start People, …

The temp agency helps you find work.

After your registration, a staff member from the temp agency will schedule an intake interview to better understand who you are and what job you are looking for. This is a personal conversation where you can tell your story.

The staff member will ask questions such as:
  • What have you done before? (work experience/education)

  • Which languages do you speak?

  • When are you available to work?

  • In which region do you want to work and how far can you travel?

  • In which sector(s) would you like to work?

Based on this conversation, the temp agency will look for jobs that match your preferences. Sometimes you will get a job offer immediately. Sometimes they continue searching while you keep following vacancies at home.

Search on the website yourself.

You can also browse vacancies yourself on the temp agency's website and indicate what you are interested in. It is best to search through multiple agencies at the same time. This way, you can find a job more quickly.
